7th Avenue Elegance

This project was the design of two combined apartments in the prewar Chelsea Mercantile building; the goal was to achieve an elegant, but whimsical, space.

The entrance hall walls are created from faux shagreen panels that were set into molding.  The bedroom walls are blue textured grass cloth.

The goal was elegant, but whimsical.

The blue tones carry through to the living room with a patterned sofa and linen-wrapped end table.

The kitchen feels relaxed and inviting; the cabinets sport an automotive finish high gloss lacquer.
